Una aut\u00e9ntica \u201cplaga tecnol\u00f3gica\u201d a nivel mundial de cuyo volumen y potencial de crecimiento no somos conscientes. Porque realmente,\u00a0<strong>\u00bfcuantos tel\u00e9fonos inteligentes hay y cuantos habr\u00e1 en el futuro?, \u00bfy l\u00edneas m\u00f3viles?, \u00bftocar\u00e1 techo pronto el sector? Sobre estas y otras cuestiones echa luz el\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ericsson.com\/ericsson-mobility-report\">\u00faltimo Informe de Movilidad de Ericsson<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Seg\u00fan dicho informe, incluyendo 113 millones de nuevas altas durante el tercer trimestre de este a\u00f1o, en la actualidad el total de l\u00edneas m\u00f3viles suscritas en el mundo ascienden a alrededor de\u00a0<strong>6.600 millones<\/strong>\u00a0con una tasa de crecimiento anual sostenida del 7%.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn1.ticbeat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/grafico1.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Crecimiento que estiman va a continuar en los pr\u00f3ximos a\u00f1os<\/strong>. Concretamente los responsables del estudio calculan que a finales de 2019 llegaremos a m\u00e1s o menos los 9.300 millones de suscripciones m\u00f3viles, muchas de las cuales ser\u00e1n l\u00edneas de banda ancha m\u00f3vil hasta alcanzar los 8.000 millones ese mismo a\u00f1o (vienen aumentando un 40% a\u00f1o tras a\u00f1o y en la actualidad hay cerca de 2.000 millones).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn3.ticbeat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/grafico2.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>En cuanto a dispositivos, el estudio da claves muy interesantes<\/strong>. Por ejemplo que hoy en d\u00eda la mayor\u00eda de las l\u00edneas de telefon\u00eda m\u00f3vil, 4.500 millones, est\u00e1n asociadas a dispositivos b\u00e1sicos, una tendencia que en el futuro ser\u00e1 radicalmente diferentes: en 2019 esos 4.500 millones de suscripciones m\u00f3viles correspondientes a tel\u00e9fonos de baja gama quedar\u00e1n en unos 3.000 millones en detrimento de las suscripciones m\u00f3viles de smartphones que crecer\u00e1n de los 1.900 millones actuales hasta los 5.600 millones.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn1.ticbeat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/grafico3.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A su vez esta curva ascendente de la banda ancha m\u00f3vil impulsada por la\u00a0<em>democratizaci\u00f3n<\/em>\u00a0de los\u00a0<em>smartphones<\/em>,\u00a0<strong>dar\u00e1 lugar a una explosi\u00f3n del tr\u00e1fico, sobre todo del de datos, soportado por las redes m\u00f3viles<\/strong>. Sobre este particular, el informe apunta que el tr\u00e1fico m\u00f3vil total crecer\u00e1 alrededor de un 45% de 2013 a 2019 multiplic\u00e1ndose por diez el de datos hasta el pico m\u00e1ximo de 10 exabytes (1.000 petabyte, o 1.000 millones de gigabytes, o 10 elevado a 18 bytes), siendo el segmento del v\u00eddeo el que m\u00e1s crecer\u00e1 y ancho\u00a0<em>comer\u00e1<\/em>(esperan que aumente en torno a un 55% anual hasta finales de 2019).<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cdn3.ticbeat.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/11\/grafico4.jpg\" width=\"640\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u00bfConclusi\u00f3n? El sector de la telefon\u00eda m\u00f3vil es enorme y lo ser\u00e1 mucho m\u00e1s en el futuro cercano, un horizonte en el que los\u00a0<em>smartphones<\/em>, las conexiones de banda ancha m\u00f3vil y los contenidos multimedia cobrar\u00e1n todav\u00eda m\u00e1s importancia que en la actualidad. En palabras de Douglas Gilstrap, Director Senior de Estrategias en Ericsson:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cEl r\u00e1pido ritmo de adopci\u00f3n de\u00a0<em>smartphones<\/em>\u00a0ha sido fenomenal, y continuar\u00e1 de esta forma.\u00a0<strong>Se necesitaron m\u00e1s de cinco a\u00f1os para alcanzar los primeros mil millones de suscripciones de tel\u00e9fonos inteligentes, pero ahora llevar\u00e1 menos de dos a\u00f1os alcanzar los dos mil millones<\/strong>. Entre 2013 y 2019, las suscripciones de tel\u00e9fonos inteligentes se triplicar\u00e1.
