Ahora, sin embargo, su CEO ha declarado ante los accionistas de su compa\u00f1\u00eda que en junio har\u00e1n un importante anuncio porque, pese al \u201c<em>ruido y expectativas que hay en este tema<\/em>\u201d,\u00a0<strong>entienden que han conseguido sortear esas trabas y ya se consideran preparados<\/strong>\u00a0para lanzarse a por el mercado de la impresi\u00f3n 3D.<\/p>\n<p>Ya en febrero, el chief technology officer de HP, Martin Fink, dijo que esperaba que su empresa comenzara a trabajar en este \u00e1mbito a finales de a\u00f1o. \u201cHP est\u00e1 explorando las m\u00faltiples posibilidades de la impresi\u00f3n 3D y vamos a desempe\u00f1ar un papel importante en su desarrollo\u201d. Whitman ha aclarado que<strong>\u00a0junio no ser\u00e1 el momento en que se lanzar\u00e1n sus nuevos dispositivos<\/strong>\u00a0dirigidos a este mercado, sino la fecha en que anunciar\u00e1n en qu\u00e9 han estado trabajando, y la direcci\u00f3n que tomar\u00e1 este trabajo. Tambi\u00e9n parece tener claro que, si bien su innovaci\u00f3n podr\u00eda terminar abriendo las puertas de esta tecnolog\u00eda al mercado dom\u00e9stico,\u00a0<strong>en un primer momento el mercado de HP estar\u00e1 en los grandes clientes corporativos<\/strong>, donde perciben una demanda de soluciones para la impresi\u00f3n tanto de prototipos como de productos finales.<\/p>\n<p>Sin embargo, tambi\u00e9n tienen en mente\u00a0<strong>un servicio para el consumidor de a pie: un proveedor de servicios al que puedan enviar a imprimir sus dise\u00f1os<\/strong>, pudiendo recibirlos m\u00e1s tarde a domicilio.<\/p>\n<p>Las impresoras en 3D ya son una realidad presente en el mercado. Sin embargo,<strong>\u00a0todos los avances en este campo los hab\u00edan realizado hasta ahora compa\u00f1\u00edas ajenas a las grandes del sector de la impresi\u00f3n tradicional<\/strong>: MakerBot (la filial de Stratasys), 3D Systems, o incluso la espa\u00f1ola Bq se han adelantado por ahora a HP, Canon y Epson. Pero, ahora que 2014 ofrece unas expectativas de crecimiento de ventas de esta tecnolog\u00eda de hasta un 67% con respecto a 2013, los grandes quieren subirse a la ola. Y HP va, como antes, en cabeza para lograr con \u00e9xito este nuevo movimiento.<\/p>\n<p>En una reciente entrevista, Whitman declaraba que la impresi\u00f3n 3D es \u201cen este momento, un producto de nicho. Tiene que ser m\u00e1s r\u00e1pida, tiene que tener mejor calidad y el coste de las impresoras 3D tiene que bajar mucho para que esto sea un gran negocio. [&#8230;] Creo que a\u00fan faltan varios a\u00f1os antes de que esto se convierta en un negocio de 1000, 5000 o 10000 millones de d\u00f3lares.
